This year, the staff at Bako Wales decided to donate the money raised to Ty Olwen.
Ty Olwen is a local hospice at nearby Morriston Hospital in Swansea specialising in palliative care. The unit provides a range of specialist support to all the hospitals in the Swansea Bay University Health Board. This includes inpatient care, a hospital team, community team and a day unit. They provide invaluable emotional, practical, physical and financial support. As a registered charity, Ty Olwen rely on donatoins and fundraising so that they can continue to provide high level of care and support to patients.
The team here at Bako Wales all got together to enjoy the treats on offer and share stories on how so many of us have loved ones affected by cancer or life limiting diseases.
We are pleased to announce that we raised a total of £196 for Ty Olwen.
